Since 2019, Community Bank Clovelly Bendigo Bank, has stood beside The Minhi’s Netball Club not just as a sponsor — but as a committed loyal partner in real community change. As a proudly Blak-run not-for-profit, The Minhi's Club exists to create culturally safe, fun and empowering netball spaces for our First Nations girls. But for many Indigenous and Non-Indigenous families, sport can be out of reach due to the cost of registration, uniforms, transport and equipment. These systemic barriers often mean our girls miss out — not because of talent or passion, but because of access.
Thanks to the ongoing generosity of Community Bank Clovelly, we’ve been able to remove those barriers and open doors for our young leaders on and off the court.
Breaking Barriers and Building Pride
With their support, we’ve been able to:
-
Lower costs for First Nations families so more First Nations Girls can join seasonal competitions at Randwick Netball Association.
-
Funded our all new Inclusive Indigenous Uniforms so our teams can proudly represent their culture, community and families at national events like the Regional Gala Days, Saturday Netball at Heffron Netball Courts, Suncorp Super Netball First Nations Round in partnership with Netball Australia, Netball NSW and the NSW Swifts.
-
Provide a 3m x 3m branded marquee to give our players much-needed shade and safety during big tournaments like the Annual Koori Knockout in Charlestown.
-
New training equipment including Netballs, First Aid Kits, Bibs, Second Hand Netball ASICS for those girls without proper Netball footwear & more!
-
Kickstart our First Nations Youth and Adult Coaching Pathway, where participants successfully complete their Foundation Coaching Accreditation with Netball Australia and Netball NSW.
-
Support travel and participation costs for carnivals, gala days and representative programs, making sure no First Nations Athletes miss out because of postcode, hunger or financial stress.

''This partnership isn’t just about netball — it’s about nurturing strong, proud, confident young First Nations girls and building a future where sport, identity and culture are celebrated together. We are so proud to walk this journey with Community Bank Clovelly and we thank Nicola and the amazing team at the branch for believing in our girls, our vision and the power of grassroots change for our First Nations Girls in Netball.'' Club President Sallie-Ann Barker said.
Together, we are creating something special — and every pass, every goal and every smile on court. Thank you for standing with us — for backing Blak excellence and for making sure every girl knows and feels welcome that she belongs on that court.
